If you haven’t watched Ryan Trahan’s 50 States in 50 Days series on YouTube, you’re missing out on one of the most wholesome and entertaining journeys of the year. Ryan and his wife Haley travelled across all 50 states in just 50 days, staying at a new Airbnb every night and documenting the entire adventure.
I stumbled across Ryan Trahan back in 2022 when he was recording his Penny Series and I recently started sharing his videos with my kids. We followed his 50 States in 50 Days series as we anticipated each new Airbnb visit as well as their fun “setbacks” caused by the Wheel of Doom.
But this wasn’t just a road trip vlog. They did it to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and it was incredible to watch the generosity, humor, and heart that went into every video. By the end of their journey, they ended up raising over $11.5 million for St. Jude (their original goal was $1 million… WOW). From cozy cabins to off-grid treehouses to castles to oceanfront villas, former factories, and a haunted house, each stop was its own little story.
